Viva Choirs exists to enrich artistically the lives of the singers, their families and the community. Children age 7-11 join Viva with just a brief interview to ascertain the appropriate group. Singers aged 12-17 can audition to join the mixed-voice Viva Chamber Choir which includes the Chorale (treble voices) and Young Men’s Ensemble (changed voices).
Placement interviews and Auditions
We will be accepting new singers for the second term of the 2011-2012 season in January, 2012. To arrange for a placement interview (ages 7-11) or audition (ages 12-17) please contact us by email or phone (scroll to the bottom of the page for contact information).
Location
Our office and rehearsal space for all Victoria choirs is in the Grace Lutheran Church building at 1273 Fort Street (opposite Central Middle School). All Tuesday and Thursday rehearsals take place at Grace Lutheran. Access is via the double doors off the rear parking lot. There is plenty of free parking and the building has easy wheelchair access. It is also close to bus routes 11, 14 and 25.
The West Shore Choirs rehearse on Wednesdays at Pilgrim United Church (3319 Painter Rd.) in Colwood.
